Termini Imerese is a small city of about 26,000 people in Sicily, about 13 miles to the East of Palermo.  It is here that your ancestors, the children of Francesco & Maria Amodeo, were born. If you click on this link you can view a map of the town.

TerminiCemetery3.gif (38707 bytes) Typical "row" layout of the cemetery.  It is neatly divided into small squares, like tiles, with it's roads being like the grout between tiles.  Marble is everywhere, with each plot having a back wall and a floor in front.  If you click on this link you can read an interesting description of the burial methods used.

This is the area of the backwall just above where Margaret's hand is in the previous photo. Notice there is a photo of a "Maria Amodeo" who died at 26 years of age (born in 1888, died in 1914). Positioning her picture this way, between Maria & Francesco, would lead you to think she could be their daughter.  However, if you click on this link you can find out who she really is.

To put things in perspective, Biagio Amodeo's 1st wife was Maria Coniglio.  Titi is the daughter of Maria's brother, Cosmo Coniglio.  If you click on this link you can view a descendant chart showing how the Nancini's fit in with the Amodeo's (pages 7 & 8).
BovasFromTerminiImerese.gif (82719 bytes) More cousins who live in Termini Imerese--Alexander, his mother Nellie, Margaret (Amodeo) Myers & Rocco Bova.   Again, to put things in perspective, Biagio Amodeo's 2nd wife was Rose Bova. Rocco is the son of her brother, Anthony Bova.  If you click on this link you can view a descendant chart showing how the Bova's fit in with Rose & Sal Badali's family.
